Works for Castle Quay’s leisure extension, Castle Quay 2, are now underway, with the first bit of soil broken at a ceremony on Thursday 4th July. The £60m project, which will feature a 117-room Premier Inn, a ten-screen cinema, a Lidl supermarket, and several restaurant and bars, is set to transform the centre of Banbury, making better use of the canal, and attracting more visitors into the town. This project will be developed alongside Lock29, a new artisan food and leisure destination in the former BHS unit, which was revealed at the end of June.
